INDICATIONS

MUCOSAL CANDIDIASIS
These include oropharyngeal, esophageal, non-invasive bronchopulmonary infections, candiduria, mucocutaneus & chronic oral atrophic candidiasis (denture sore mouth). Normal hosts & patients with compromised immune function may be treated.

SYSTEMIC CANDIDIASIS
Including candidemia, disseminated candidiasis & other forms of invasive candidal infection.

VAGINAL CANDIDIASIS
Acute or recurrent.

PREVENTION OF FUNGAL INFECTIONS
In patients with malignancy who are predisposed to such infections as a result of cytotoxic chemotherapy or radiotherapy.

CRYPTOCOCCOSIS
Including cryptococcal meningitis & infections of other sites (e.g. pulmonary, cutaneous). Normal hosts & patients with AIDS, organ transplants or other causes of immuno-suppression may be treated. Fasical can be used as maintenance therapy to prevent relapse of cryptococcal disease in patients with AIDS.

DOSAGE
TINEA (PITYRIASIS) VERSICOLOR

Two capsules of 150mg weekly for two weeks.

TINEA UNGUIUM (Toe nail) (Onychomycosis)
One capsule of 150mg once weekly for 6-12 months or until the infected nail is replaced by a healthy nail.

TINEA UNGUIUM (Finger nail) (Onychomycosis)
One capsule of 150mg once weekly for 3-6 months or until the infected nail is replaced by a healthy nail.

VAGINAL CANDIDIASIS
One capsule of 150mg as a single dose once only.

CANDIDA BALANITIS
One capsule of 150mg as a single dose once only.

TINEA PEDIS
One capsule of 150mg once weekly for 2-6 weeks.

TINEA CORPORIS, CRURIS AND CANDIDAL INFECTION OF (NAIL FOLD) (PARONYCHIA)
One capsule of 150mg once weekly for 2-4 weeks.
